Did you miss spring cleaning? Is your closet STILL overloaded with unworn clothes? Mine is. 

However I've developed a few tips and tricks of how to eliminate clothes that don't get worn...

Flip all your hangers backwards... When you have worn and washed them hang them back up the right way... After 6 months sell/donate those that have not been worn and are still hanging backwards in your closet.

If it does not fit toss it! Don't play the waiting game of... "Someday this will fit again"... Trust me it does not work... And just adds to the clutter. Or if you do have seperational issues with your "skinny clothes" put them in a bin. Keep them in the garage or tucked away in storage!

Why not just trash all your unwanted clothes?

With popular resell and consignment shops like Platos Closet & apps like Poshmark you can make extra money for your unwanted clothes. 

Here is my story... I went through my closet top to bottom... Jeans, Shirts, Sweaters, Jackets, Tanks, bras, Boots, Flats, Flip Flops and all. Set up a Facebook closet, called Ky's Closet, and within months my family trip to Alabama was paid for! I raised over $800 from just cleaning out my closet. I still continue Ky's Closet to raise money for my college tuition and I sell clothing for others as well! 

I'm not telling you that you have to do what I did and set up a Facebook to sell your clothes but with technology being such a big part of our daily fashion life there are tons of ideas to get rid of unworn clothes! I know in our area there is a surrounding area re-sell page on Facebook that you can always check your area and join. Also like I mentioned Poshmark is free and people still use eBay! Lots of options but hopefully my little story has inspired you to clean that closet and make yourself some extra cash!

The Adventures of Ky

Growing up I always joked saying my goal in life was to marry rich and become a 

stay-at-home mom with no kids. 

Truth is, I'm a 23 year old working college girl going to school to become an elementary education teacher, who in turn LOVES kids! 

Throughout this process they call "growing up", I have manage to remain student loan free, so far, by pursuing any money making opportunity that came my way, outside of my 40 hr week job. My current adventure is a Thirty-One Independent Consultant & So far I'M LOVING IT! Helping someone organize her life & earn free products while earning money for myself? Count me in! However, let's hope this opportunity turns out better than my last adventure with selling a Beachbody product called Shakeology^® (the Healthiest Meal of the Day^®). Man oh man, it is a yummy and awesome product... that my lovely aunt got me hooked on! But I just wasn't cut out for selling it. She however has had the best of luck and is very successful with this awesome business opportunity and weight loss program.  Thirty-One is more up my alley. I mean trendy and affordable purses, totes, and accessories? Living in a dream here! 

One thing that has been a successful adventure for me thus-far is my Facebook Closet called Ky's Closet! This adventure started the day I admitted to having a shopping addiction! Buying new clothes and having no room in my closet to put them got old, real fast. As I sorted through the clothes I have not worn in the past year... I realized that most of them still had TAGS! So I decided to share my wardrobe and sell to those who would wear it. One thing became another & I started introducing organization ideas for your closet and home (Pinterest is my biggest inspiration for this). Now I love my closet idea and update it quite frequently with organization ideas and clothes to sell.

I hope I grabbed your attention and I personally want to invite you to join me on my next adventure into the blogging world. My plan is to share with you organization ideas, no plastic budget plans and teach you the little knowledge I have about resale clothing & fashion. All .....while working crazy hours and completing school, yet still hoping for my full time stay-at-home mom with no kids position to open up!

oh and HAPPY AUGUST EVERYONE! Let the back to school shopping begin... no matter how old I am, I will always love shopping for school supplies ;)
